About Alexander Gartley

I’m a marketer who likes making complicated things clear.

I’m Alexander Gartley. My background is in brand and marketing leadership, where I spent years helping teams turn scattered ideas, competing priorities, and complex challenges into clear direction. Today, I bring that same thinking to small business owners who want to understand what’s actually holding back growth and what to do next.

Experience

Nearly 18 years in marketing and communications, applied to practical business problems.

Before starting this practice, I spent years leading brand, messaging, campaigns, creative direction, and cross-channel marketing inside a mission-driven organization.

That experience taught me how to listen carefully, organize complexity, clarify what matters, and help people move from scattered ideas to focused action.

I’m strongest as a strategist and thought partner — someone who can step into a situation, see the patterns, ask the right questions, and help make the next decision clearer.

How I Work

Understand the problem before deciding what to do.

I don’t like jumping to tactics before understanding the problem. I listen first, look at what customers are actually experiencing, and try to identify the one thing that deserves attention most.

Sometimes that’s visibility. Sometimes it’s trust, messaging, the website, or what happens after someone reaches out.

The goal isn’t more marketing activity. It’s knowing what matters enough to act on next.

Why I Do This

I like helping people find a clearer path forward.

I’ve always been drawn to situations where something feels more complicated than it needs to be.

I enjoy listening, asking questions, finding the pattern underneath the noise, and helping someone see a path forward they couldn’t quite see before.

That’s what drew me to this kind of consulting. I get to work closely with business owners, understand what they’re building, and help them make wiser marketing decisions without adding unnecessary complexity.
