A blog and resources for church worship leaders and teams
For this project, I built a custom WordPress website for my wife and I. We wanted a place for us to blog about church worship music ministry. We also share music and links to resources that we collect. We decided to brand it as The Gartleys.
The site features a clean, minimal design, with a sticky navigation bar that minimizes as the user moves down the page.
This site was relatively straightforward to build. I built it using WordPress, and a pre-built theme. Minimal customization was done, which allowed for rapid deployment of the website. I installed a few key WordPress plug-ins to support the site, including Loginizer (security) and WP Fastest Cache (caching).
Although a completely custom website has its place, sometimes a template will work just fine. There is tremendous value to the low cost and speed of deploying a website built on a easy-to-use platform like WordPress. Small, quick customizations to pre-built templates allow for just enough uniqueness to stand apart, without adding unnecessary time and cost to the project.
