Freelance web designer and web developer
Born and raised in Upstate New York, I spent my childhood playing with LEGOs and Nerf guns. Before long, I took an interest in the graphic design my mom was doing for church events. I started creating flyers for friends and their businesses.
A mentor from my church introduced me to website development. He was eager to introduce teenagers to mechanical and technological fields. He let me play around with the code and design of the site, which opened a while new world to me.
I decided to attend college for a combination of print and web design. I chose the Rochester Institute of Technology, and their New Media Publishing major. What attracted me was the way it incorporated art, design, and technology within one program.
While in college, I stayed involved with my church. I designed websites, branding, logos, and more for the youth ministry. I also got a student job as a print and web designer, and also created materials pro bono for student clubs.
I graduated college, and accepted a full-time position as a graphic and web designer for RIT. I continued to build websites for a variety of clients. These included small businesses, individuals, churches, and non-profit organizations.
Now, I partner with churches and non-profit organizations to build websites and creative solutions. I love working with organizations that are making the world a better place.
